History: Amy Pond - TARDIS Data Core Wiki
Personality: Amelia Pond first meets the Doctor as a young child. She'd prayed for a policeman to come and help with a crack in her wall. As it turns out, the seemingly simple crack was actually a tear in the universe, pushing Amy's time up against an intergalactic prison. The Doctor observes she must be utterly fearless if a TARDIS crash, a strange alien man, and the absence of family members during it all didn't seem to phase her. In fact, the only terror that managed to grip the young Scottish girl was that of the voice, and time energy, she heard through the crack.
Fascination with everything he was shaped her childhood, leaving her fanciful, outlandishly minded, and stubborn. She does what she likes, within reason, and shamelessly believes in her imaginary friend even when she's an adult. Though family and psychiatrists alike have tried to convince her that the Doctor did not exist, she never gives in. She doesn't say what they want to hear and she refuses to deny the Doctor's existence.
When we re-meet Amy as an adult, though she's matured and let go of some of her youthful beliefs, it doesn't take long for the Doctor to inspire all of that again. Rather than deny his existence, she demands to know what took the Time Lord so long. He'd promised five minutes and she'd waited well over a decade with the crack still whispering to her through the wall. Still, it doesn't take much before her loyalty to him is renewed. She swallows her fear, puts her faith in the Doctor, and helps him stop Prisoner Zero, the escapee from the intergalactic prison on the other side of the universe.
They save the world and, just like that, Amy is ready - off and running to see the big, wild universe with her childhood best friend. The Doctor is no longer imaginary, he never really was, and that validation gives Amy all the confidence she needs to confront the fantastical, sometimes dark, things companions of the Doctor often see.
Amy spends many years waiting. She waited for the Doctor as a child, she waited for him as an adult, and she waits for him time and again during their adventures. Loyalty is a core tenet of Amy's belief and even when she'd waited decades, her heart's love of Rory and loyalty to everything they'd end up being was enough to overcome all the anger and unhappiness years of solitude built up.
Stubborn, often maddeningly so, is just one of the hallmarks of her Scottish nature. Amy speaks her mind, stands her ground, and has no problems arguing with the Doctor, her husband, and anyone else that manages to cross her. Words come easy to Amy, as does complete honesty and more often than not, she will tell it like it is. She's fiery, temperamental, and though her intentions are in the right place, sometimes that passion can make her just a shade too impulsive. It's not all bad though.
That same passion has pushes her to overcome limits she might never have crossed. It's what has helped her through many scrapes and kept her faith in both the Doctor and Rory Williams. They've saved her before and she's certain they will every time. There is an undeniable faith in the people she surrounds herself with, those people she's traveled with through time and space. River Song too, once Amy knows just who the woman is, quickly becomes family and someone Amy has no trouble giving her heart to. Though she can't have children anymore, she doesn't let unusual circumstances sway affections for her daughter or love of her husband. Amy's dedication and passion lead her to almost end things with Rory. The love she has is so great that she'd rather let her husband go than force him to accept the anguish of being childless for the rest of their marriage.
Amy has a sharp tongue and her boldness leads her to say whatever she is thinking. Be it honest confession of fears or professions of adoration and love, she can always be counted on to call it like she sees it. When Amy, Rory, and River witness the supposed final death of the Doctor, keeping it from him eats Amy alive. It consumes her until she makes a rash, drastic decision to try and protect him with violence. The people she cares for always come first for Amy and while she compromises her ideals, she never compromises her dedication. She proclaims her confidence in the Doctor, as well as her complete love and trust for Rory, time and time again. Even when time steals Rory from her, some deeper part of her psyche remembers him, causing tears of both sadness and joy in varying moments. Amy Pond prides herself on being unmovable until she chooses it.
Fortunately, for as forceful as she can be, in the face of adversity with those she loves Amy still manages to be honest. Eventually she comes clean with her secrets, allowing others in her life to love her just as much as she loves them. Fiercely dedicated until the end, it is no question when Rory is sent back in time by Weeping Angels that she will follow. Her heart rules her head and Amy Pond, Amy Williams even, stays loyal until the very end.
Abilities: Amy has no supernatural talents. She is, however, incredibly brave, quite clever, and, as a companion of the Doctor, well versed in space travel. Additionally, she has a sort of temporal sensitivity thanks to all that time pouring through the crack in her wall and subsequently traveling in the TARDIS.
First Person Sample: Amy has opinions. Strong ones.
Third Person Sample:
Stood a few feet from the Doctor, Amy felt tears sliding down her cheeks in spite of the confidence she had in her decision. The Weeping Angel wasn't far off, standing there like it belonged among the dead of the cemetery. Perhaps it did belong. Maybe it was always waiting there for them, every moment of their adventures bringing them closer to headstones that bore all too familiar names. The Ponds. No. The Williamses. Amy had committed herself to Rory and that's why she was about to make the choice she would.
Amy's choice.
This wasn't a new decision but somehow the redhead suspected it would be the last time she'd have to make it. She'd chosen Rory before and she'd chose him again - every time. Still, it didn't stop the hurt spreading from her heart in her chest. The Doctor's voice was begging and oh how badly she wanted to stay. River's voice cut through her Raggedy Man's begging and in that moment Amy knew he'd be taken care of. She closed her eyes and let the Angel take her.
A moment later, Amy felt the lurch of a train coming to a stop. Her tears were dried and her vision hazy, as if she'd been asleep. Rubbing both with the heels of her palms, Amy blinked to take the new setting into focus. The town was unfamiliar, though this did not surprise her. The Weeping Angel had sent her somewhere new. What did surprise her, and simultaneously broke her heart, was that Rory was nowhere to be seen. That stupid face she loved so much wasn't beside her, across from her, or anywhere in sight.
Tears that had dried were renewed, spilling over as if they might never stop. She'd made her choice and seemed to end with neither Rory or the Doctor. Amy was alone and she didn't know what to do.
